Persepolis, also known as Takht-e-Jamshid (Persian: تخت جمشيد‎‎ Taxt e Jamšid; "Throne of Jamshid"), was the ceremonial capital of the Achaemenid Empire (ca. 550–330 BC). Persepolis is one of the most important sites of the Achaemenid empire, and sacked by Alexander the Great. Pasargadae was the location of his Cyrus's tomb. Pasargadae was a city in ancient Persia, located near the city of Shiraz (in Pasargad County), and is today an archaeological site and one of Iran's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This Naghshe Rostam, Persepolis and Pasargadae Tour is not to be missed!
